Peter proposed to Naomi exactly a year after their first meeting on a romantic trip to Paris. After a beautiful dinner they returned to their hotel room and on the balcony overlooking the Eiffel Tower Peter asked Naomi to be his wife.
Peter’s Parisian proposal inspired their wedding theme ‘One night in Paris.’ The Style Co. transformed the Royal Melbourne Yacht Club into a French palace. Peter and Naomi wanted their guests to feel like they were in Paris for the night and the palace complete with an Eiffel Tower, French décor, chandeliers and an abundance of fresh flowers certainly fit the brief.
Naomi wore a stunning one-shoulder gown by Connie Simonetti and got ready on the day with a bunch of her closest girlfriends. “We had a lovely time laughing and sipping champagne,” she says.
The couple chose to have a traditional ceremony at St Mary’s East in St Kilda. “Our priest was so humorous and therefore a hit with everyone!” says the couple.
86 guests joined the pair for a reception designed around three transitions. In the first part of the evening guests were treated to pre-dinner drinks while the voice of a crooner set an indulgent mood. Dinner was served in the dining room with a small band playing soft music followed by a lavish four-tier dessert tower. Guests were then invited to the rooftop where a 12-piece band played music for dancing. Storyboards, featured throughout the reception, included quotes from Peter and Naomi so guests could experience their love story.
Infinity Photography captured the glamorous affair and didn’t miss a moment despite the complexities of the occasion. As the newlyweds escaped to a honeymoon at Palm Cove, their guests were left to revel in the unforgettably stylish night.
