When Diane Khoury of Weddings by Diane Khoury shared the wedding of Andriana and Marcus on facebook this morning we couldn’t help but wish we were invited. We were also insanely jealous of Andriana’s J’aton gown and we knew that we just had to share it with you all!

The pair married on September 1st 2013 on a picture perfect day. The wedding, initially planned for September 2014, was brought forward leaving stylist Diane Khoury just 6 months to create and organise their dream wedding. ‘It was very obvious from the initial meeting that Mark and Andriana wanted a grand lavish and glamorous wedding,’ says Diane. They chose the newly refurbished Doltone House Hyde Park after falling in love with the plans representing a modern interpretation of old-world glamour in the main ballroom and catering for their 400 expected guests. It would be completed in time for their wedding.

‘Andriana knew from the very start that she wanted J’aton Couture to create her dream dress,’ says Diane. Diane organised for her to meet with designers Jacob and Anthony in Melbourne and from then the masterpiece began. For the final fitting Jacob and Anthony flew into Sydney and spent 3 days before the wedding at the Westin Sydney doing all the finishing touches for her amazing gown.  They also extended their flights to ensure they were there to dress her and attend the ceremony on the day. ‘The dress and veil left people speechless. The level of detail on it and the fit was perfection. No one could take their eyes off her and she felt a million dollars on the day,’ says Diane. The stunning bridesmaid gowns were designed and made by Liade Couture, Diane describes them as ‘beautiful and effortless.’

Their ceremony took place at Saint Joseph’s in Croydon and was followed by photos at Sydney University. Weddings by Diane Khoury designed and created the wedding invitation and then carried this detail into their reception styling. Their monogram was used again on napkins, the cake and the guest book – making it feel personal for the couple and their guests. As wedding planner, Diane Khoury was trusted to engage all the right suppliers and execute the couple’s vision. Diane spent endless hours meeting with the venue and all the suppliers to discuss the styling brief and to ensure that every detail was covered and on the day they didn’t disappoint.

The flowers by Vesna Grasso Floral Designs were breathtaking with 3 different elaborate centrepiece designs at different heights filled with white and soft cream toned flowers and candles. A floral hedge lined the bridal table consisting of soft seasonal blooms at the base with phaleanopsis orchids and tulips cascading down the front of the table.  Flowers and candles were also placed on the 3 high fireplace mantles.

‘The room itself was already fitted with unique crystal chandeliers and we got another 8 different chandeliers – 3 above the bridal table and another 5 around the room from Chandeliers to Die For to add to the glamour,’ says Diane. The 1.2 metre cake which sat in the middle of the dance floor could not be missed as guests entered the room. ‘The talented Faye Cahill made the perfect cake with inspirations from the invitation design,’ says Diane.

The staff, service and hospitality at Doltone House was explained as sensational by guests that attended.  ‘Everyone was extremely impressed by their new luxury venue,’ says Diane.’When Mark and Andriana walked into the  room they were blown away. Their reaction was priceless. It was beyond expectation and this was the same response from everyone that entered. There was such a great warm atmosphere in the room the entire night and the celebrations did not stop. No one could take their eyes off the bride as she looked incredible – a dress made fit for a princess. The journey and experience with this couple was magical and they were extremely appreciative and thankful. It was great to witness the day unfold beautifully and sit back on the night and see the sparkle of happiness in their eyes.’

Thanks Diane for sharing this beautiful wedding with us!
